Investment Advisor

Responsibilities

As an Investment Advisor, you will provide your clients with comprehensive financial planning and advice to help them effectively manage their financial wealth. Responsibilities include targeting prospective clients and marketing your unique value proposition, evaluating your client's financial situation, and identifying investment objectives through a comprehensive and customized financial planning process. You will recommend appropriate solutions and monitor portfolios for economic changes and adjustments in your client's needs and objectives. This is a very visible role focused on building and maintaining relationships with your clients and the local advisor community.

More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

  • Generate leads, through personal and business contacts, for the sale of investment products to affluent individuals, business owners, and/or corporations.
  • Maintain system to monitor sales activities on a weekly basis, including initial calls to potential clients, calls to advisors, existing clients, and other sources of referrals and leads or new business opportunities generated from the activities.
  • Manage potential cases through marketing, research, analysis, and delivery of client presentations.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through periodic communications and reviews to discuss potential investment opportunities.
  • Assess clients' assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status, and financial objectives and values to establish financial goals and investment strategies.
  • Advise clients on financial plans utilizing knowledge of tax and investment strategies, securities, insurance, pension plans, and real estate.
  • Assist in the management of the current investment client book of business.
  • Identify new cross-sales opportunities through business development calls and meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise of accounting, investments, legal, and tax issues and their impact on existing and future business.
  • Participate in industry meetings to maintain contemporary knowledge of current trends and products

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required and it is more than likely that the candidate will possess an advanced business, accounting or legal degree.
  • It is likely the candidate will have (and/or work towards acquiring) a professional certification such as a CFP.
  • Required licenses: FINRA Series 7 or 65

Marketing Representative, Life Insurance

Responsibilities

The primary focus of the position is generating sales of products or services offered by Swartzbaugh-Farber & Associates, Inc. He/she will also manage ongoing relationships with advisors. The Marketing Representative will maintain knowledge and expertise of accounting, legal and tax issues and their impact on existing and future business and participate in industry meetings to maintain contemporary knowledge of current trends.

More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

  • Generate leads, through personal and business contacts, for the sale of life insurance, long term disability, long term care, and other products to affluent individuals, families, business owners, and/or corporations.
  • Identify client needs and manage potential cases through marketing, research, analysis, and delivery of client presentations.
  • Manage new cases through new business/underwriting and policy delivery.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with client advisors through periodic communications and meetings.
  • Identify new sales opportunities through the annual review process.
  • Participate in industry meetings to stay abreast of current trends and products in order to identify new sales opportunities and strategies.
  • Maintain system to monitor sales activities on a weekly basis, including initial calls to potential clients, calls to advisors, existing clients, and other sources of referrals and leads or new business opportunities generated from the activities.

Education/Certifications

  • Undergraduate degree is required and it is more than likely that the candidate will possess an advanced business, accounting or legal degree.
  • Appropriate Life and Health Insurance license
  • Appropriate securities licenses: FINRA Series 6 or 7
  • A professional designation is required to be obtained within one year of employment. Acceptable designations include CLU, ChFC, CFP, or AEP.

Professional/Personal Qualifications

  • Proven ability to originate, develop and manage relationships with advisors and key decision makers for high net worth individuals and an established solid network of high-level contacts and centers of influence within the target markets and in the local community.
  • Experience with a broad spectrum of financial services products, including individual life, disability, long term care insurance, and investment products.
  • Knowledge of tax, legal, and regulatory environment.
  • A self starterself-starter who needs little or no direction and who would enjoy working in a highly professional, entrepreneurial culture with minimal bureaucracy and high levels of collaboration.

Responsibilities

The primary focus of the position is generating sales of products or services offered by Swartzbaugh-Farber & Associates, Inc. He/she is responsible for developing new business relationships by targeting companies for the sale of group employee benefit plans. The Marketing Representative will meet with prospects to evaluate current benefit programs and provide innovative benefits solutions.

More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

  • Develop prospects through organized direct solicitation efforts, referrals from personal and business contacts and centers of influence, target marketing leads, and through community affairs, affiliations, and other contacts to build and maintain new business inventory.
  • Develop long-term strategies, including plan design, alternative plans, cost analysis, wellness initiatives and employee education and communication related to group health, dental, vision, life, disability and related products.
  • Develop strong business relationships with clients to provide business continuity and growth.
  • Coordinate accurate presentations for renewal business and proactively identify new sales opportunities.
  • Strategically plan with clients on current and future benefit needs.
  • Work with insurance vendors and underwriters to obtain quotes, negotiate benefits programs and rates and determine appropriate carriers for clients.
